Cookies
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This page explains how Impact Allies uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It sits alongside our privacy notice, and is written to comply with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).
The short version
- This site does not currently set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- There are no third-party embeds (no YouTube, no Twitter, no fingerprinting scripts) that would set cookies in your browser.
- If we ever add analytics, we will use a privacy-first tool, update this page, and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device so it can remember something between visits (for example, that you are logged in). Some cookies are set by the site you are on ("first-party cookies"), others are set by external services embedded in the page ("third-party cookies"). Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels — where relevant, we cover those below too.
What we currently set
As of the date at the top of this page, this website does not set any cookies of its own. There is no login, no shopping cart, no theme picker and no analytics running. If you use the contact form or the Impact Check form, no cookie is stored on your device as a result of submitting it.
Strictly necessary
None at present. If we ever need to set a strictly necessary cookie (for example, to remember your consent to a future analytics tool, or to protect the site from spam abuse), we will list it here with its name, purpose and lifetime. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under PECR.
Analytics
Analytics is currently switched off. If we turn it on, we will use a privacy-first tool such as Plausible or Vercel Web Analytics that does not track individuals across sites, we will update this page with the specific cookies and their retention, and we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Advertising and marketing
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use marketing tracking pixels. We do not sell your data.
Third parties
We do not embed third-party scripts, videos or widgets on this site, which means no third party is setting cookies via us. The social icons in the footer are simple links: clicking them takes you to LinkedIn or Instagram, and those platforms will apply their own cookie rules once you are on their site — not while you are still on ours.
Our website is hosted by Vercel. Standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL) are recorded at the network level for security and debugging; this does not involve setting a cookie in your browser.
How to control cookies
Because we do not set non-essential cookies today, there is nothing to opt out of on this site. If that changes, we will add a clear consent control on the page.
You can control or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings:
Blocking all cookies may stop some websites (not ours today) from working properly.
Do Not Track
Because we do not run tracking cookies, there is nothing here to respect Do Not Track signals against. If we introduce analytics, our chosen tool will honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser signals where possible.
Changes to this page
We update this page whenever the cookies we set change in a meaningful way. The date at the top always reflects the most recent version. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting any new non-essential cookies.
